Ohio Governor Orders 3-Week Statewide Curfew As Coronavirus Cases Rise

” As we take a look around the state, every county is being impacted. There is no relief found. There is no location where the virus isnt sending at a high rate,” stated Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, Ohio Department of Health chief medical officer.

DeWine asked Ohio citizens to make extra efforts to lower journeys outside the home, even within the curfews criteria.

The curfew will remain in location every day for a minimum of three weeks, lasting overnight up until 5 a.m. But there are exceptions, consisting of for those who need to be at work or see to medical needs. The order will also not stop grocery shopping or drive-through and pickup food services.

He recommended consolidating grocery trips and saying no to social activities, instead deciding for calling family and friends.

DeWines order comes as the coronavirus is surging throughout the United States. Ohio reported more than 7,000 new cases on Tuesday. The state has actually had 312,000 cases given that the start of the pandemic.
