The Illinois Department of Human Services is releasing a series of initiatives to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 amongst the states hard-hit Black neighborhood, according to Rockford, Ill., CBS affiliate WIFR.

The department reports COVID-19 cases continue to increase among the states Black residents. To decrease the spread of the disease, it is launching efforts to increase awareness of state relief and prevention tools.

IDHS presented a mobile health system in Chicagos West Pullman community Nov. 3 where citizens could get a complimentary health screening, influenza shot and COVID-19 test, according to WIFR..
