Upstate New York health system computer network back online after 10-day outage

IT applications including medical records, laboratory and drug store systems have been restored at medical facilities, centers and the business level, according to the Nov. 6 report. While authorities stated Massena Hospital was mainly untouched in the attack, they suspended access to most of Canton-Potsdam and Gouverneur medical facilities computer systems..

Throughout the 10-day system downtime, the healthcare facilities used offline documentation approaches to continue offering client care. The cyberattack is still under investigation, however authorities stated they dont think any patient or employee data were compromised..
