The report discovered female doctors earn approximately $116,289 less than male peers..

Doximity collected self-reported payment study data from more than 44,000 licensed U.S. doctors who practice at least 40 hours a week. The report analyzes how settlement altered from 2019-20, examining patterns across urbane areas, medical specialties, gender and employment type.

The gender wage gap was 28 percent for doctors in 2020, up from 25.2 percent in 2015, according to Doximitys 2020 Physician Compensation Report.
