The pay is available to any registered nurse, certified nurse, licensed nursing assistant, psychological health professional and paramedic who work additional shifts in intense care medical areas– including the intensive care system, med surg, progressive care unit, skilled nursing care, inpatient rehab, emergency department and behavioral, the health system informed Beckers. The pay quantity varies by capability.

CHI Health stated the premium pay– made possible by the federal the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act– started Oct. 18 to increase capacity in its medical facilities and will continue through Dec. 31..
