Mercy Medical Center President and CEO Tim Charles said the labor force strategy is anticipated to be momentary.

Citing the monetary headwinds from the COVID-19 pandemic, Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based Mercy Medical Center will position more than 200 staff members on furlough or required leave, according to The Gazette.

” This is an extremely hard decision,” Mr. Charles informed The Gazette. “This is not what we had pictured for this year but, regrettably, its something we and so lots of healthcare facilities are facing today.”.
