The center will open to clients Oct. 1.

The 250,000-square-foot, six-story center consists of 58 infusion bays, 9 of which are personal. The rest of the bays are semiprivate. It also consists of 8,400 square feet of space for an integrative oncology center, which uses therapy and support groups, a demonstration music, art and kitchen treatment in addition to massage, acupuncture and meditation.

Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare held a ribbon-cutting event Sept. 29 for the opening of its $130 million cancer center.


The center will utilize about 375 people, including scientific personnel, and the health system stated it has already employed about 50 new staff members for the center.
