Tampa (Fla.) General Hospital signed a seven-year strategic collaboration with Royal Philips to increase technological innovation.
4 things to understand:
1. Tampa General and Philips will interact to innovate in healthcare, focusing on remote client care and meeting the quadruple aim. Philips will offer millions of dollars worth of software packages, healthcare informatics, special workflow services and top-level consulting to Tampa General as part of the contract.
2. Under the regards to the collaboration, Tampa General will change bedside patient and vital sign screens in its 1,006-bed hospital and upgrade imaging equipment in the catheterization labs and interventional radiology spaces with Philips innovation.
3. Philips will likewise implement cloud-based technologies including its PerformanceBridge, a real-time information platform created to enhance productivity and lower expenses, at the healthcare facility. Tampa General will be able to incorporate existing technologies with the Philips services.
4. The partners have already spent 1,000-plus hours on changing innovation and conducted 400 scientific personnel interviews to improve the client and personnel experience.
