Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital authorities said the first cases for staff members appeared in early August, and CEO Tyler Hedden revealed the outbreak Aug. 29 in a personnel memo, the newspaper reported. The hospital did not divulge Sept. 1 whether extra staff member infections were validated. An official with one of the unions representing workers told The Press Democrat that workers were told the outbreak may have impacted as many as 200 workers.
