UT Southwestern Medical Center and Childrens Health in Dallas have called Dai Chung, MD, as CMO of their joint pediatric enterprise.

Dr. Chungs position is the very first one called by the pediatric enterprise, revealed last year and jointly owned and governed by UT Southwestern Medical Center and Childrens Health, according to the organizations and The Dallas Morning News..

” Dr. Chung is one of the nations best acclaimed pediatric cosmetic surgeons, an accomplished scientific investigator and an unbelievable teacher. He is also a distinguished clinician with deep experience in pediatric surgical oncology, neonatal surgery, ECMO [extracorporeal membrane oxygenation] and burns,” Pete Perialas, president of Childrens Health Care Network and chief method officer of Childrens Health, said in a news release. “We are fortunate to have Dr. Chungs management and clinical expertise in this new role.”.

Dr. Chung is board-certified in pediatric surgical treatment and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section of Surgery.

Dr. Chung is professor of surgical treatment, chief of the division of pediatric surgery and executive vice chair of UT Southwesterns surgery department. He is senior and also surgeon-in-chief vice president of surgical Services at Childrens Health.
