St. Peters Health Partners in Albany, N.Y., is closing its income excellence departments operations at three areas as part of a department restructure, the Albany Business Review reports.

St. Peters Health Partners has 12,000 workers in more than 170 locations.

” Those associates would remain in the Capital area, if they choose, and work from another location. All associates whose positions are gotten rid of will be qualified for outplacement services, a paid notice period, severance pay and health and other benefits through their severance duration,” according to the declaration.

” While the positions are being gotten rid of from our regional payroll, there is a chance for a lot of our colleagues to shift into Trinity Health roles, carrying out similar job duties,” a spokesperson for St. Peters Health Partners stated in a news release.

The closures will lead to 76 layoffs at Samaritan Hospital – Albany Memorial Campus, Samaritan Hospital in Troy, N.Y., and St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates in Albany, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notification submitted Aug. 10 with the New York State Department of Labor.

Department operations at the locations are expected to close in October, and the layoffs are set to take impact Nov. 9, the notice stated.

St. Peters Health Partners informed Beckers Hospital Review the restructuring of its income quality department, that includes roles such as data analysts, collection agents and receivables representatives, belongs to a larger effort to centralize these functions across the health systems moms and dad company, Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health. Employees were notified of the restructuring in October 2018.
