Brigham Health names new physician organization president

Dr. Boland “is a knowledgeable, caring and gifted leader. Never one to shy away from a difficulty, he handles new chances with interest, cooperation and methodical attention to information,” Betsy Nabel, MD, president of Brigham Health, stated in a press release. “Im confident that he will effectively lead our doctor company as we move through our healing from the COVID-19 pandemic and into our brand-new normal.”.

Throughout Dr. Bolands tenure as radiology department chair, its research study and academic portfolios grew considerably, and he broadened subspecialty reporting, Brigham Health said. Brigham Health also credited him with strengthening partnership and integration with colleagues in the Mass General Brigham system.

Dr. Boland is the Philip H. Cook professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and has spent the last four years as chair of the radiology department. He will begin his new function Sept. 1.

Boston-based Brigham Health has called Giles Boland, MD, president of the Brigham and Womens Physician Organization.

Dr. Boland “is a knowledgeable, skilled and compassionate leader. Never one to shy away from an obstacle, he takes on new opportunities with enthusiasm, cooperation and methodical attention to detail,” Betsy Nabel, MD, president of Brigham Health, said in a news release. “Im confident that he will effectively lead our doctor company as we move through our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and into our new typical.”.
