Ochsner St. Mary completes $6M Epic EHR install: 4 notes

Four things to understand:.

Morgan City, La.-based Ochsner St. Mary, formerly referred to as Teche Regional Medical Center, executed Epic EHR, according to a report from St.MaryNow, a site powered by the Banner Tribune and Daily Review.

1. When it started integration with the Ochsner Health Network last year, the health system revealed plans to make the switch.

2. Ochsner Health Network devoted $6 million to set up the Epic system, a process that finished Sunday.

3. Ochsner St. Mary patients can now utilize the MyOchsner patient portal after the switch and the client records system will be interoperable with the rest of the Ochsner system.

4. Ochsner St. Marys associated centers also transitioned to Epic.
