” When conduct by our workers outside of work– online or off– affects our clients, teammates or organization, our dedication to equality and nondiscriminatory practices needs that we do something about it,” a representative stated in a declaration supplied to Beckers Hospital Review. “We do not talk about the specifics of employment matters, but we can validate this individual will not be going back to Sutter Health.”.
It was Mr. Floyds Memorial Day death, videotaped by an observer who caught an officer pressing his knee into Mr. Floyds neck for nearly 9 minutes, that sparked demonstrations against extreme cops force worldwide.

” We cant state that when we enter into the healthcare facility, our Blackness goes away– so of course it takes place in the health center setting,” Mercy Mutua, an ICU nurse at the healthcare facility, informed the TV station.
Black healthcare workers staged a demonstration June 26 at Sutter Healths Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Oakland, Calif., after a white nurse was implicated of posting racist comments versus the Black Lives Matter motion on her Facebook page, KNTV reports.
Sutter Health did not name the implicated worker, however it did confirm the person no longer works there.
Protests versus bigotry have happened throughout the country in the wake of the deaths of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and other Black Americans. Mr. Brooks and Ms. Taylor were fatally shot by authorities, and Mr. Arbery was followed by armed white guys and fatally shot while jogging.
